Remembering Randy
The following email went out this morning. We have few details at this point but will keep everyone posted.
"I am sorry to inform everyone of the devastating news that Randy Dangerfield passed away at this cabin yesterday. I would like everyone to keep Vicki and her family in your prayers."
Randy was an integral part of the association and will be greatly missed. Vicki and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Soapstone Fire Danger - RESTRICTIONS ARE STILL IN PLACE AS OF 8/9/12
Update 8/14/12 - Restrictions have been recently lifted. We are asking people to still refrain from fires - it is still very dry in the area.
We have received written fire restrictions from the forest service.

What a difference a year makes. Last year we were trying to figure out what to do with all of the excess water we had flowing in every direction through the cabin area. This year we are faced with a much different concern: How to protect the area we love from the threat of wildfires.
With drier than normal conditions and the fire danger being extremely high, we are requesting that all cabin owners refrain from using their indoor or outdoor fireplaces/fire pits until conditions have improved. Also, please do not discard cigarette butts on the ground, but in a fireproof container. And please remember to tell your guests – NO FIREWORKS!
In addition, with the limited water we received this year we would also ask that you conserve water at your cabin when possible. We want to ensure that we have water available during this dry time and into the early fall months.
Let’s be vigilant in doing all we can to protect this amazing area. Thanks for your cooperation!
Sincerely,
The Soapstone Summer Homes Board

Use the Gate 2/1/12
With the light snowfall we have received this year, the gate is still usable. If possible, pease refrain from going around the gate on snowmobiles while the snow is not deep enough. This breaks the fence to the west of the gate and invites those that do not belong into the area.
